Drawing on the Ten Domains of Legacy Planning from the Ultra High Net Worth Institute, this session enables students to understand the role of philanthropy as one of those ten.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this learning activity, you will confidently be able to:
- Understand the difference between a specialist in one of the ten legacy domains, and the role of the generalist across domains.
- Understand what services are included in the Philanthropy and Social Impact Domain.
- Understand the importance of balancing the human domains and the primarily technical ones when providing planning for families with complex assets and complex relationships
- Understand the difference between an expert, a trusted advisor, and a trusted advisory team
- Appreciate the tensions and torsions among the roles advisors play within and across domains.
